I ended up on it back in '02 looked like a short cut back to camp in cheroke nc. from tellico. Took us 5 hours with wifes nails firmly in trucks dash. One delay from a tanker truck that slide off the pavement and alittle rest at fontana dam. Since I had never heard of the dragon until a couple year later, I had know clue of what was ahead. Bottom line it is deffinitly an awsome stretch of pavement that I will never travel down again with my wife.

RE: Diesel below $3
It was 71 degrees here on election day, so I went out and boated. Paid $2.69 for diesel and $2.26 for gas in Morris Il. At home it's $3.49 diesel and $2.49 for gas.

RE: Dometic Recall - NO LONGER REPLACING COOLING UNIT
I just got my recall letter last week from my camper manufacturer.

I called Dometic and they verified that mine is on recall. Told them my camper is in storage for the winter. They told me I was in the system and I could bring it in this spring. I called the rv repair shop(which is only 2 miles away)and they told me no problem, just call in the spring for an apointment.

CJ, If you like caves, be sure to checkout Diamond Caverns just outside Mammoth.It's loaded with formations. We liked it more than Mammoth.

Max is so cute. It's always cute to see the lil' doggies that don't like to lay on the ground camping. They see their big buddies in the campchairs and want to sit there too...
It's funny how our four legged buddies seem to always get treated like royalty:)

RE: Control of Asian Lady Beetles in pop up truck camper
Last fall we were invaded by these awful bugs and had to pack up and leave the campground. They were able to squeeze in everywhere there was a tiny crack and there are plenty of places in a pop up with the canvas that doesn't fit tightly.
Has anyone else with a pop up had this problem and what do you suggest doing to keep them out? Is it possible to camp when they are swarming to get inside in the fall?

Had the same thing happen to us in oct '06 at the state park at clinton lake. On our first trip in our new camper DW and I had the unexpected dinner guests. They were coming in from everywhere. Never had a problem like that with my old camper. Really left a bad feeling in my gut. Fortunatly I got them all out and had no problems with them since.
